Kim Delaney is an American actress best known as the character detective Diane Russell in ABCs series NYPD Blue for which she won an Emmy Award. Her other credits include her roles on the drama show All My Children Philly CSI: Miami as well as Army Wives. Born as the only daughter to a senior executive of the United Auto Workers and a housewife, Delaney had a family of four brothers. When she was a little girl, she wanted to become a reporter for the court. But in highschool her modeling career began when she was able to model for commercials and after moving New York.
